Android game privacy notice
DRUMFIRE — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 3 August 2026
This policy explains how the Android game DRUMFIRE (package com.owlapp.drumfire) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. It applies only to DRUMFIRE. Use of this website is covered by our website privacy policy.
1. Who We Are
DRUMFIRE is published by OWL APP LTD (Company No. 16945604), a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office in London, United Kingdom. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Information DRUMFIRE Handles
Google Play Games profile and leaderboard
The Android version offers Google Play Games profile sign-in at launch; you can continue offline without signing in. After authentication, DRUMFIRE receives your authentication status and Play Games display name. The game submits your fastest completed-run time to the DRUMFIRE Google Play Games leaderboard. It retrieves your own leaderboard entry and the public top 100 entries, including visible gamer display names, ranks, completion times, and formatted score text.
Your visible gamer name, leaderboard rank, and completion time may therefore be visible to other DRUMFIRE players. DRUMFIRE does not expose or store your email address, real name, password, OAuth token, or Google Account identifier in its game/WebView layer, and none of those items is sent to an OWL APP server.
Leaderboard cache on your device
While the app is active, DRUMFIRE refreshes the leaderboard from Google every 60 seconds; you can also refresh it manually. The latest successful top-100 response, your own row, the Play Games display name associated with that row, and the refresh time are cached in local WebView storage so the leaderboard can appear immediately. The cache is overwritten by later successful refreshes. If the active Play Games profile changes, the previous profile's personal row is not shown.
Game data stored locally
DRUMFIRE stores game progress and preferences only in app-private storage on your device. This can include unlocked levels and rewards, story progress, health and run state, level and completion times, local finish history, endings, death and boss-rush statistics, language, audio, controls, accessibility settings, and limited local diagnostic records. OWL APP does not receive this local game data, and Google Play Games Saved Games is not used.
Advertising, consent, and device identifiers
DRUMFIRE uses Google Mobile Ads SDK 25.4.0 for two ad formats. The first two cold launches are ad-free; afterward, an app-open ad is requested no more than once every four hours. After a defeat, you may explicitly choose an optional rewarded ad. A continue is granted only after Google confirms the reward: you return to the latest hearth with full health and 30 seconds are added to the completion and leaderboard time. Closing or skipping the ad, or an unavailable or failed ad, grants no reward. You can always return to the main menu without watching an ad.
Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the device IP address, which may be used to estimate general location; product interactions such as app launches, taps, and video views; SDK and app diagnostic information; Android advertising ID; app set ID; and, where applicable, other identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The data is encrypted in transit using TLS. DRUMFIRE does not expose raw advertising identifiers to its game/WebView layer. OWL APP can view aggregate ad performance and revenue reports in AdMob.
Google User Messaging Platform SDK 4.0.0 refreshes consent information at every launch. Where required, a consent message is shown before an ad request. You can reopen an available consent form through Settings → Privacy Choices. Depending on your choice and region, ad requests may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. The first-two-launch counter and the last app-open-ad time are stored only in app-private preferences on your device.
3. Information Processed by Google
Google Play Games Services is provided by Google. Google states that Play Games services may collect and store personal data such as an account name, a discoverable email address, an IP address, and approximate country or region, as well as app and device data such as game scores, gamer identity, achievements, and device identifiers. Google may use that information to provide game services, analytics, and troubleshooting. This Google processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform are also provided by Google. Their processing includes the advertising, analytics, consent, and fraud-prevention data described above and is governed by Google's privacy terms. You can read more in Google's advertising privacy information.
4. Why the Information Is Used
- To authenticate your Play Games profile and show which profile is active.
- To submit, rank, retrieve, cache, and display completion times.
- To preserve your local progress, settings, and accessibility choices.
- To maintain app reliability through limited diagnostics stored on your device.
- To request and display limited ads and provide an optional rewarded continue.
- To record and apply regional privacy choices before requesting ads.
- To measure ad performance and prevent invalid traffic, abuse, and fraud.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these uses are necessary to provide the game and leaderboard functionality you request and support our legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure game.
5. Sharing, Advertising, and Tracking
DRUMFIRE sends your best completion time to Google Play Games and receives leaderboard data from Google. The public leaderboard displays gamer names, ranks, and completion times to other players. OWL APP does not operate a separate player-account or leaderboard server.
Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares the advertising-related data described in Section 2 with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. An advertising ID may be used where available and permitted by your settings and consent state. UMP communicates the applicable privacy choice to Google's advertising systems. OWL APP does not sell player data, does not operate a separate advertising profile or player analytics backend, and does not receive raw advertising identifiers. The app has no in-app purchases and no separate publisher-operated analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
6. Retention and Deletion
Local progress and the leaderboard cache remain on your device until they are overwritten, you clear DRUMFIRE's app data, or you uninstall the app. DRUMFIRE's Android backup rules exclude app data from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Starting a new game resets the current run but does not delete the local leaderboard cache, ad frequency preferences, consent information, or data held by Google.
Uninstalling DRUMFIRE does not delete Play Games data held by Google. You can delete data for DRUMFIRE, or delete your entire Play Games profile, by following Google's Play Games deletion instructions. OWL APP has no server-side player record to delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will investigate.
Google controls the retention and deletion of Play Games, Mobile Ads, and UMP data processed by Google. You can reset or delete the Android advertising ID in Android settings and, where available, change consent through DRUMFIRE's Settings → Privacy Choices. Uninstalling the app removes the local launch counter and ad timestamp but does not by itself delete data already processed by Google. Requests concerning Google-held data are handled through Google's privacy and account tools.
7. Security
Local game data is kept in Android app-private storage. Communication with Play Games, Mobile Ads, and UMP is handled through Google services, which state that the data described in this policy is encrypted in transit using HTTPS or TLS. We limit the data exposed to the game layer to what is needed for game, sign-in, leaderboard, consent, and advertising functionality. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable technical measures appropriate to these data flows.
8. Children
DRUMFIRE is not directed to children under 13 and its Google Play target audience starts at age 13. The game does not ask players to enter an age, email address, real name, phone number, or location, and OWL APP does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Google manages advertising, Play Games profiles, and supervised-account controls under its own terms and policies. A parent or guardian with a concern may contact us.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. OWL APP does not keep a server-side DRUMFIRE player profile. Requests concerning your Google Play Games account or Google-held data should be made through Google's account tools. For questions or requests concerning OWL APP, email us using the address below. You can also reset or delete the Android advertising ID in Android settings and revisit an available advertising-consent choice through DRUMFIRE's Settings → Privacy Choices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when DRUMFIRE's features, SDKs, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date. Material changes will also be reflected in the app and its Google Play Data safety information where required.
