Mola — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
This policy explains how Mola, the Android café management game (com.owlapp.mola), handles information. Mola is published by Owl App (OWL APP LTD). This policy covers the game; use of this website is covered by the separate website privacy policy.
1. Your café stays on your device
You can play without creating a Mola account. Your café progress, gold, diamonds, purchases credited to the local game, staff, upgrades and language, sound and gameplay preferences are stored in app-private storage on your device. Music and game assets are included in the app.
Mola does not provide cloud saves or send your café save to an Owl App player-account service. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove your progress. Restoring a purchase does not restore your café or a consumed diamond balance.
2. Advertising and privacy choices
The Android game uses Google AdMob for interstitial ads at natural gameplay breaks and optional rewarded videos. Lifetime No Ads removes all in-game ads, including rewarded videos; its rewards can instead be claimed after a short cooldown. Purchases and rewarded ads are optional for café play.
Google’s advertising SDK may collect and share IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, advertising and other device or account identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Non-personalized or limited ads may still involve data processing.
The game uses Google’s consent service to determine available advertising privacy choices and whether ads can be requested. Where Google makes the privacy-options entry available, you can revisit it in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Android also offers advertising-ID controls. Removing ads does not delete information already processed by Google or disable separate purchase and Play Games services.
3. Google Play purchases and verification
Offline Café Manager and Lifetime No Ads are optional one-time purchases. Diamond packs are optional consumable purchases. Google Play processes payment. We do not receive your payment card details.
When you buy, restore or verify a purchase, the app sends its purchase token, product identifier and a randomly generated installation identifier to our verification service over HTTPS. The service checks the purchase with Google Play and returns a signed result to your device.
Our purchase ledger stores the full purchase token, product identifier, activation time and entitlement or revocation status. For the no-ads gold gift it also records the installation entitled to that one-time gift; for diamonds it records the delivery installation, amount and consumption status. These records support purchase access, restoration, delivery recovery and prevention of duplicate rewards. They do not contain your café save or payment card details.
The verification service is hosted on our existing Hetzner server in Germany. Network infrastructure receives connection information, including the IP address used for the request. Google processes its own purchase and service data under its privacy policy and may process information in other countries.
4. Google Play Games and your score
Where available, Google Play Games can connect using your Google gaming profile. When connected, Mola receives your Play Games player identifier and display name to show connection status and your profile. Mola holds those profile details in temporary device memory, not in its café save or purchase-verification backend.
Only when you choose Share in the game does Mola submit your locally calculated café-chain score to the Google Play Games leaderboard. The score is associated with your Google gaming profile. Other players’ ability to see it depends on your Google Play Games visibility settings. This is a casual progress score calculated on your device, not a score verified by an Owl App gameplay server.
Google Play Games may separately collect gaming identity, service analytics and diagnostics through its SDK. Mola does not request your friends list, use Play Games cloud saves, or send player-profile data to an Owl App gameplay backend. You can manage profile visibility and delete Mola’s Play Games data through your Google Play Games settings.
5. Keeping and deleting information
Local café data remains on your device until you remove it. Use Android’s app storage settings to clear it. Signed purchase results, installation information and reward-delivery records may also be stored locally. Removing local data does not automatically remove purchase records from our service or data held by Google.
Purchase records in our verification service do not currently expire automatically; refund or revocation does not automatically erase the stored purchase token. We keep them to support entitlements and restoration and to prevent repeated delivery of the same purchase or gift. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact [email protected]. We may need enough information to verify the request and identify the purchase. We will explain any records that must be retained and any effect deletion would have on restoration or purchase recovery.
Google determines retention and deletion for information processed by its services. Use the Google privacy and Play Games controls linked below. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include so that we can respond; do not send payment card details or passwords.
6. Permissions and your requests
Mola uses internet access for advertising, purchases and Play Games. Advertising SDK permissions include advertising-related identifiers. We do not request camera, microphone, contacts or precise location access. The game has no chat or user-content upload feature.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and the right to contact a data-protection authority. Send questions and requests to [email protected]. Parents or guardians with a concern about a child’s information can use the same address.
7. Updates and contact
We update this page when the game’s features or data practices change and change the date above. Publisher: Owl App (OWL APP LTD). Support and privacy contact: [email protected].
