Android game privacy notice
Dodge — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 15 August 2026
This policy explains how the Android game Dodge (package com.owlapp.dodge) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. It applies only to Dodge. Use of this website is covered by our website privacy policy.
1. Who We Are
Dodge is published by OWL APP LTD (Company No. 16945604), a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office in London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the limited information described below. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Information Dodge Handles
No account of ours
Dodge has no sign-up, no password and no email collection of its own. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and the Android app does not send your play data to any OWL APP server. The app requests a single Android permission, internet access, which is what the ad and Play Games connections need.
Google Play Games profile and leaderboard
Dodge uses Google Play Games Services (play-services-games-v2 21.0.0) for sign-in and for the leaderboard. After authentication the game receives your authentication status and your Play Games display name, shows that name back to you on the game-over card, and submits your score to the Dodge leaderboard so it can be ranked. Your visible gamer name and score may therefore be seen by other players on the public board.
Dodge does not expose or store your email address, real name, password, OAuth token or Google Account identifier, and none of those items is sent to an OWL APP server. You may play Dodge without signing in to Play Games; you simply do not appear on the leaderboard, and the game works normally. Google Play Games Saved Games is not used, so no progress of yours is copied to a Google cloud save by this game.
Game data stored locally
The following is stored only in app-private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data:
- Your best score and the number of runs you have played.
- Which ball skins you have unlocked, when each was first earned, which one is selected, and how many rewarded ads you have watched toward an unlock.
- Settings and one-time flags: chosen language, whether sound is muted, whether you have seen the tutorial, and whether you have seen the ability card.
- A random identifier generated on your device, used only by the browser version of Dodge to talk to its own leaderboard server. The Android app ships with no server address configured, so this identifier is never sent anywhere from the app.
Advertising, consent, and device identifiers
Dodge shows advertising through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (play-services-ads 24.9), in two formats and no others. There is no interstitial and no ad during play:
- An adaptive banner on the main menu only. It is hidden while you play, and when no ad is available the menu reserves no empty space for it.
- An optional rewarded video you choose to watch. It is offered in three places: to continue a run from the same score after you die, to unlock a ball skin, and to start a run with its second ability charge and second shield already in hand. A reward is granted only after Google confirms it. Closing or skipping the video, or an unavailable or failed ad, grants nothing, and every one of these offers can be declined — the game is fully playable without watching a single ad.
Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the device IP address, which may be used to estimate general location; product interactions such as app launches, taps and video views; SDK and app diagnostic information; the Android advertising ID; the app set ID; and, where applicable, other identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and states that it is encrypted in transit. Dodge does not expose raw advertising identifiers to its own game layer. OWL APP can view aggregate ad performance and revenue reports in AdMob.
The Google User Messaging Platform SDK 4.0.0 settles the advertising-consent question when the game starts. Where your region requires it, a consent message is shown before any ad is requested, and if you decline you are never offered an ad at all. Where a privacy entry point is required, the main menu offers one so you can reopen your choice later. Depending on your choice and region, ad requests may be personalized, non-personalized or limited.
3. Information Processed by Google
Google Play Games Services is provided by Google. Google states that Play Games services may collect and store personal data such as an account name, a discoverable email address, an IP address and approximate country or region, as well as app and device data such as game scores, gamer identity and device identifiers. Google may use that information to provide game services, analytics and troubleshooting. This Google processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Mobile Ads and the Google User Messaging Platform are also provided by Google. Their processing includes the advertising, analytics, consent and fraud-prevention data described above and is governed by Google's privacy terms. You can read more in Google's advertising privacy information.
4. Why the Information Is Used
- To authenticate your Play Games profile and show which profile the run belongs to.
- To submit, rank and display scores on the leaderboard.
- To preserve your best score, unlocked skins and settings on your own device.
- To show a menu banner and to offer an optional rewarded video.
- To record and apply your regional privacy choice before any ad is requested.
- To measure ad performance and prevent invalid traffic, abuse and fraud.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these uses are necessary to provide the game and leaderboard functionality you request, rest on your consent where consent is required for advertising, and otherwise support our legitimate interest in operating a reliable game.
5. Sharing, Advertising, and Tracking
Dodge sends your score to Google Play Games and receives leaderboard data from Google. The public leaderboard displays gamer names and scores to other players. OWL APP does not operate a player-account or leaderboard server for the Android app.
Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares the advertising-related data described in Section 2 with Google for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. An advertising ID may be used where available and permitted by your settings and consent state. OWL APP does not sell player data, does not operate an advertising profile or player analytics backend, and does not receive raw advertising identifiers. Dodge has no in-app purchases and no separate publisher-operated analytics or crash-reporting SDK of our own.
6. Retention and Deletion
Your local progress and settings stay on your device until they are overwritten, you clear Dodge's app data, or you uninstall the app. Because Saved Games is not used, uninstalling removes that progress and we cannot restore it.
Uninstalling Dodge does not delete Play Games data held by Google. You can delete data for Dodge, or delete your entire Play Games profile, by following Google's Play Games deletion instructions. OWL APP has no server-side player record to delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will investigate.
Google controls the retention and deletion of Play Games, Mobile Ads and consent data processed by Google. You can reset or delete the Android advertising ID in your Android settings, and where a privacy entry point is required in your region you can change your advertising-consent choice from Dodge's main menu.
7. Security
Local game data is kept in Android app-private storage. Communication with Play Games, Mobile Ads and the consent platform is handled by Google services, which state that the data described in this policy is encrypted in transit using HTTPS or TLS. We limit the data exposed to the game layer to what sign-in, the leaderboard, consent and advertising actually need. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable technical measures appropriate to these data flows.
8. Children
Dodge is not directed to children under 13, and its Google Play target audience starts at age 13. The game does not ask players to enter an age, email address, real name, phone number or location, and OWL APP does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Google manages advertising, Play Games profiles and supervised-account controls under its own terms and policies. A parent or guardian with a concern may contact us.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. OWL APP keeps no server-side Dodge player profile. Requests concerning your Google Play Games account or other Google-held data should be made through Google's account tools. For questions or requests concerning OWL APP, email us using the address below. You can also reset or delete the Android advertising ID in Android settings and, where available, revisit your advertising-consent choice from Dodge's main menu.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Dodge's features, SDKs or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play Data safety information where required.
